Personal Training

The increase in chronic diseases has heightened the need for supervised exercise programming. The Exercise Specialist (ES) is trained to provide exercise services to a wide range of clients with specific needs.

1. The ES has completed advanced competencies in anatomy and pathology beyond the level of the traditional personal trainer.

2. The ES works in conjunction with the client’s referring medical professionals to develop a safe and effective conditioning program.

3. The ES is trained to identify when an exercise is inappropriate and when a referral to a medical professional is needed.

4. Utilizing the ES after discharge will improve the client’s functional capacity and minimize the possibility of re-injury.

5. The ES is able to establish a wellness program that will enhance the client’s overall level of health and well-being.

Personal Training & Corrective Exercise

Individualized training is based on your needs and goals combined with the goals of the personal trainer once a movement assessment has been completed. More often than not, your goals may not include the weaknesses and structural imbalances that we can find. Whether your goal is to decrease body fat, increase bone density, or improve your balance – we can design a program to make you successful.

Strength Training for Life

The goal of the class is to build strength, improve balance, and increase flexibility to live a healthy, active life. Perhaps you have been saying to yourself that you need to get stronger, that your balance isn’t what it should be, or maybe you know it is high time you started a workout routine. This is your chance! The class is a guided hour of circuits and group cardio using equipment such as dumbbells, bands, and balls, as well as one’s own body weight. The class is rewarding and fun!

Golf & Tennis Fitness

Join us at “The Golf or Tennis Lab” where the most important part of your game, YOU, can be improved. In “The Golf or Tennis Lab,” we will develop research experiments that will increase your efficiency and decrease your handicap. For golfers, we are using the Titleist Performance Institutes formula for fitness. We will develop a personalized training program for you that will enable you to become a better golfer. We work with your swing coach to develop the optimal program for you. There is an initial assessment on the first visit.

Classes

AMT Total Interval

The AMT Total Interval classes are more fun than traditional gym workouts — combining cardio and strength training for an intense full-body workout. Get ready to burn some serious calories as we combine indoor and outdoor classes to keep you on top of your game. All levels of fitness are welcome, and we strive to motivate and encourage every participant to work within their comfort level while making every workout better than the last.

Beach Bootcamp

For the fitness enthusiast looking for something different or a new challenge, we offer a 45 minute class of quick and dirty cardio and strength training with an emphasis on explosiveness and power. We will do a lot of functional fitness exercises with fun toys like tractor tires and kettlebells, but this is mostly a bodyweight class. Learn all of the incredible ways to get a great workout in with just your own body. Please be sure to bring water and a towel — and maybe even a change of clothes. You can’t be afraid to get dirty with beach bootcamp! Please check with the instructor/office for dates.

Senior Strength

Active older adults who struggle to find something that is challenging enough but also isn’t too much will enjoy this one hour class focused on building strength in muscles and bones. Low impact exercises, weight training, circuits, and TRX are all going to be a part of this fun and engaging class to help keep you golden in your golden years. There will be a heavy emphasis on form, joint strength, and back strength, but we will also work on balance, stability, and stretching.

Gentle Stretch

Gentle stretch is built to help you unwind at the end of your day. This class will promote flexibility, increase range of motion, and improve joint health by combining breathing exercises and stretches. This class is open to all, and we will provide modifications for all flexibility levels.

Rock Steady Boxing

Activities that are proven to reduce Parkinson’s symptoms.
